Club Championships

The Open champs are open to all club members, however Juniors who only want to play in their age groups can do so in the Junior Club Champs, and Mid Week Ladies also have their Club Champs that will be running on Wednesday mornings in March if that suits them better (both will have separate entry forms that are being prepared now).

The open championships are open to all age groups. 50+ championships restricted to players who are 50 years old or older at the start date of the 50+ 1^st rounds.

Format

Everyone is guaranteed at least 3 matches.  All events will be seeded.  Seeding of the Championship round will be similar to that of the US Open, so that the subsequent events will find their levels, reducing the risk of those eliminated in the first round meeting top players again.

After two rounds have been played we will be left with four different events as detailed below.

The Open matches will be 3 full sets.

50+ matches will be 2 sets, with a tiebreaker for 3^rd.

All first round matches to be played on a Sunday morning 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. You will be notified of your start time by email and on the notice board.

 

Maximum of two matches to be played on the 1^st day

Note no competition will be played if there are less than 4 entrants. Any fees paid will be refunded.

We charge an entry fee in order to recover costs of new balls and light snacks provided.
